Business Support Programme Research has shown that to improve the performance of a business it is necessary to to facilitate incremental improvements in all aspects of the companies activities rather than concentrating on one element. In traditional consultancy only one issue at a time is dealt with, generally on a project bases This has proved both impractical and unwise, particularly for a small business - SME.
To undertake marketing advice for a business without offering and/or providing hands-on help in such areas as finance, personnel and production, etc. is likely to cause imbalances and hinder rather than expedite improvements.
Under the Business Support Programme, an Associate is appointed who, over a period of time, becomes familiar with a client's business and will involve other Associates from the Institute network to provide specialist skills necessary to fulfil a role which would not ordinarily have been available within the organisation. Thus the client has access to a full palette of skills, so that improvements may be achieved in a co-ordinated manner.
The Business Support Programme is paid for on a monthly retainer basis, thus allowing clients to draw on such expertise as is required from time to time with the advantage of a known cost.
There is an ever widening range of services, a summary of which can be found here
